Placefirst is a build to rent innovator established in the North West in 2010 and currently building across the North and Midlands, but with plans to expand across the UK. We are excited to join the UKAA and to be a part of its vision for the future of Build To Rent.

We believe renting can be a genuine alternative to home ownership, creating quality family housing where our residents can put down roots. Working in partnership with local authorities allows us to accelerate regeneration and delivery of new communities.

Our golden thread approach brings all key functions of BTR under one roof – financing, planning, developing, resident and estate management. We design, build and manage all our properties ourselves, providing a professional rental service to our customers. Our product has been developed to appeal to low-middle income households while still being aspirational in the context of housing choices on the market.

We recently achieved a great milestone of increasing our portfolio to over 1,000 properties and have ambitious plans with an extensive pipeline planned for the next few years.

We are a fully funded, private equity backed, development vehicle, house builder, a landlord, a place maker and community shaper.
