YOUR BTR NEWS BUZZ

EDITORS NOTE

A new year and a return to regular News Buzz scheduling. I hope that you all had good breaks over the last few weeks, with 2021 having been a challenging year but not without its successes in terms of record lease ups and huge investment into the sector.

2022 already shows sign of providing challenges of its own and a concomitant need for the industry to pull together. We should in the next month or two finally see the prescription from Whitehall for levelling up and boosting growth across the country. Meanwhile there is evidence of a hardening of stance from the Housing Secretary on cladding remediation. We are grateful for the tireless work of our Committees on these matters, and will continue to work with partner bodies like the BPF to reason the implications for BTR.

In terms of proactive projects, 2022 will see UKAA continue to build the Best Practice Guide, releasing novel research on customer demographics and needs and understanding how our sector contributes to affordable housing.

Last and not least, I would like to welcome CommScope as a new gold sponsor as well as to membership. CommScope is a provider of communications technology solutions, with specific offerings for BTR including broadband, campus/venue and outdoor wireless networks. We look forward to our partnership continuing to develop over 2022.Last but certainly not least; I would like to warmly welcome CommScope as a new member and Gold sponsor. CommScope is a provider of communications technology, with specific offerings for the BTR vertical. CommScope’s solutions are focused on enterprise grade Wi-Fi, Ethernet switching, onboarding services and analytics to provide high-performance tenant and visitor connections. Regards,
